UNION – The McHenry County Historical Society s storied Sampler Lecture Series is back this spring – albeit from a distance.
After COVID-related health concerns cut short last year s offering, ongoing safety protocols will necessitate virtual programs when the series kicks off in March. Highland Park s Catherine Lambrecht, who was instrumental in founding the Greater Midwest Foodways Alliance and the Chicago Foodways Roundtable, will present Heirloom Recipes from the Illinois State Fair at 7 p.m. Monday, March 8. ....
