Popular SABC2 soapie 7de Laan has never been the same since Oubaas (played by Pierre van Pletzen) and his on-screen wife, Hilda (Annelisa Weiland), exited the show. Van Pletzen, who was arguably one of Soapville’s most likeable characters, left the show four years ago, with Weiland following suit.
