Ruby Riott posted her statement via Instagram after she had been released by WWE the other day.
WWE announced on Wednesday that Riott, Braun Strowman, Lana, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, and Santana Garrett have all been released from the company, as a part of budget cuts.
“Well… here it goes. I’ve never been good at this sort of stuff. Yesterday in a matter of minutes, my life changed very drastically. But after some tears, some panic and a full box of Oreos, I was able look back at how lucky I’ve been to accomplish what have. I never thought I’d make it to WWE. I’ve been honored to be apart of a Squad of the most incredible women I’ve ever met, I’ve gotten to see the world, share locker rooms with some of the most talented women I know, some of which I’ve made lifelong friendships with. Ruby Riott took to Instagram this morning and issued a lengthy statement on her WWE release.
As noted, WWE announced on Wednesday that Riott, Braun Strowman, Lana, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, and Santana Garrett have all been released from the company, as a part of budget cuts.
Riott revealed her initial reaction to the release, and talked about how she never thought she would make it to WWE. She also thanked everyone for their support and said her career is far from over.

We’ve gotten a sense of just how good Ruby Riott is during her time in WWE. I can’t think of an irredeemable Riott Squad match where Ruby got a few minutes to work.
It wasn’t terribly flashy, but Riott was someone WWE leaned on during Ronda Rousey’s babyface push, and that allowed her to demonstrate just what a “good hand” she is.
