Mexican-American dads are an enigma. One minute they can be on their high horse talking about respect/God/how much better we have it than they did, and the next, they’re doing gritos and cracking jokes from a super-old George Lopez HBO special. (The one about how all Mexican houses are full of Aztec god panaderia calendars is my dad’s go-to.)
Of course, this experience varies based on generation and geography. Still, at their core, Mexican-American dads are all about family, food, and fun.
