According to its website, the construction company got the contract from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. The project is aimed at reducing the distance between Goregaon and Navi Mumbai from 75 minutes to around 40 minutes
The decision comes in the wake of the collapse of Sultanganj-Aguwani Ghat Bridge which was under construction in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district. The bridge is being constructed by the same company.
