The S&P 500 fell more than 4% in the second week of May, perhaps reminding investors of the old adage: “sell in May and go away.” But then stocks rebounded to near all-time highs, returning 0.7% for the month. Investors who harvested tax losses and maintained market exposure, were amply rewarded.
