What s happening? reporter: what we saw there was that russian forces in and around bakhmut are being pounded by heavy ukrainian artillery. the ukrainian troops we spoke to said they have noticed a decrease in the amount of income russian rounds because they believe the russians have been pushed back further. in fact, today we heard from the third assault brigade, which is the unit that s spearheading the offensive in the south of bakhmut, and they said they have taken strategic high ground in a village just south of bakhmut. so they continue to make small but important gains on the battlefield. however, the russians are continuing to fire back in ukrainian civilian areas in a town about 25 miles north of bakhmut. a number of russian rockets slammed into a residential area where residents were shopping ....
