Last week the commission heard testimonies from former church members who levelled allegations of sexual and financial exploitation, and human trafficking, against the church and its leader.
The church said that it was not informed of the hearings, which the commission denied.
The commission also said that they had not received a statement from the church, but was sent one to them by the media.
Heaven International Fellowship church, in southern Johannesburg, say they are considering legal action after the public hearings held by the CRL commission into allegations of sexual and financial exploitation at the church.
In a statement on Monday, the church said that they were not informed that the CRL would be holding public hearings, however the commission told News24 they had, in fact, informed the church. The commission also said that they had not received a statement from the church but was sent one to them by the media.

Gruesome allegations were made by former congregants against the Heaven International Fellowship church leader.
Witnesses were before the CRL Commission on Thursday, detailing what the man put congregants through.
One witness who lived at the church s mission with her husband and child told the commission she was raped and threatened.
The Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (CRL Rights Commission) has heard explosive allegations of sexual and financial exploitation, and human trafficking, against the leader of Heaven International Fellowship church leader Bahlakwana Moleko, known as Samuel Paul Heaven.

The husband of a woman who was allegedly raped by the leader of Heaven International Fellowship church, says things have never been the same in their marriage.
The husband told the CRL Commission that his family had been threatened since they fled the church s mission.
The witnesses have claimed the leader s very manipulative and that even the most educated people who are congregants fell for his tricks. Samuel Paul Heaven, I did nothing to you. I respected [and] honoured you, but you betrayed my trust by raping my wife and my sister.
These were the words of heartbroken husband, Joseph Tshukudu, at the Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (CRL Rights Commission) on Thursday.
