A helping hand for Chatham-Kent’s Mobile Market.
Howard Mutual is donating $20,000 to the program which brings fresh produce to those in need around the municipality. 
“We are very grateful for this donation from Howard Mutual,” says Phillip Mock, Project Coordinator of the Prosperity Roundtable. “They, like us, understand the importance of everyone having the right to affordable, fresh, and local produce.”
As we move into the summer months and local produce becomes more readily available, organizers say the funding will go towards buying produce from small, local farmers who have been hit hardest during the pandemic. 
“We want to support the small local farmers in our community who are the backbone of Chatham-Kent,” says Heather Tulloch, Community Food Connector for the Mobile Market. “We have built some amazing partnerships over the last eight months and we will continue to support local.” ....

To help expand the Chatham-Kent Mobile Market and improve local food accessibility, the Prosperity Roundtable has announced a partnership with Libro Credit Union.
The credit union has donated $40,000 to help support the project’s operations this year.

Last September, the market was created to help bring local, affordable produce to communities across the municipality impacted by COVID-19.
“We are ecstatic to be working with Libro Credit Union to increase access to affordable produce across Chatham-Kent. They are just as passionate and dedicated as we are about making a positive impact in our community,” said Phillip Mock, Prosperity Roundtable project co-ordinator, in a release. ....
