45-year-old Ronald D. Jolly and 42-year-old Desiree E. Van Heule were booked in the Wayne County Jail early this morning after an incident on West Water Street in Fairfield. They are accused of attacking people in a stopped car; Jolly faces charges of aggravated battery and resisting peace officers, and Van Heule was charged with vehicular invasion. They were held, pending an appearance before a judge to set bond. The Wayne County Farm Bureau Foundation plans to offer eight $750 scholarships to county students who plan on majoring in an ag-related field of study in the fall 2021 semester. In addition, the Young Leader Committee will award one $1,000 scholarship. The same application may be used for both, and it may be found on waynecfb.com/scholarship.
