Nine members of a family in Jaipur tested positive for COVID-19, days after four of them returned from South Africa, putting the Health Department on alert amid concerns over the "Omicron" variant of the infection.
In contact tracing, it was found that four of them had returned from South Africa. An official said as per guidelines, those who returned from South Africa have been isolated at the RUHS hospital while the other five have been home quarantined.

Jaipur: Rajasthan on Wednesday received 20,000 doses of Bharat Biotech s Covaxin, Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr Narottam Sharma said.
He said about 4.5 lakh doses of Covishield by Serum Institute of India, Pune will arrive in the state on Wednesday evening.
Sharma said the vaccine would be first administered to 80,000 healthcare workers.
