‘Fizzy drinks cause tooth decay, obesity’ Advocacy meeting discusses steps to control consumption of sugar-sweetened beverages DNA April 15, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The National Commission on the Rights of the Child (NCRC ) organised a meeting with parliamentarians on the health hazards of sugar-sweetened beverages among adolescents and children in the country. According to a press release issued on Wednesday, the advocacy meeting was attended by National Heart Association (PANAH) President Maj Gen(retd) Masudur Rehman Kiani, NCRC Chairperson Afshan Tehseen, General Secretary Ch. Sanaullah Ghumman, Consultant Food Policy Programme Munawar Husain, and Parliamentary Secretary Health Dr Nosheen Hamid and others.
