The team announced the increase from 25 percent capacity Tuesday afternoon after getting approval from the City of Milwaukee’s health department. The increase to 50 percent will be effective starting with Saturday’s game against Atlanta. “Fans have returned with great enthusiasm to American Family Field this year, and today’s announcement allows us to meet the demand for tickets and elevate the entire ballpark experience,” Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger said in a statement. “We have demonstrated to date that we can host fans safely at American Family Field, and we appreciate the support of City of Milwaukee Commissioner of Health Kirsten Johnson in increasing the capacity.” ....

Both teams on Tuesday announced plans to increase capacity at home games to 50%. The increase will begin at American Family Field on Saturday and at Fiserv Forum when the NBA Playoffs begin later this month. The Brewers had been allowing roughly 10,000-15,000 fans to begin the season.
