湟鱼资源量的衰减，直接威胁到鸟类的迁徙、繁衍和生态物种多样性。
青海湖1982年开始实施限捕禁渔，2011年开始的第五次封湖育鱼为期10年，直到2020年12月31日……如今，青海省又揭开了第六次青海湖封湖育鱼的大幕。
