any idea whether the white house is endorsing this compromise? who knew health care could be so complicated. i think it s the only thing to say. nobody knew. the thing that has been at the core of all of the white house s health care policy, all of donald trump s health care statements is that he does not know anything about health care policy. he is not interested in health care policy. and as such, he is not in any way yoked to what he said ten minutes ago, 20 minutes from now, 50 minutes from now, three days ago. so trying to chart what is going to happen by listening to what he has said in the past and using that to predict future actions, it s a fool s game. it is strange to be here talking about this deal, though. this is congress considering doing something that makes some actual amount of sense. this deal is not my preferred health care policy per se, but it would extend the cost sharing reduction payments for three years. it would give states more flexibility to experime
