The California Assembly Judiciary Committee Passes Legislation to keep and improve the End of Life Option.
SB 380 Continues to Roll, Heads to Assembly Appropriations Committee
The California End of Life Option Act, implemented five years ago last month, gives mentally capable, terminally ill adults with six months or less to live, the option to request a prescription for medication to end their life peacefully. The legislation included a provision that would expire at the end of 2025 unless new legislation is passed.
