, The United States government has slapped a visa ban on four former senior Malawi government officials, including the former Head of the Malawi Police Service, George Kainja, over corruption allegations regarding Malawian-born British citizen Zuneth Sattar, provoking an outburst from President Lazarus Chakwera. The President was reported as saying in the Chichewa language that the US has the highest levels of gun violence, drug-related crime, illegal immigrants and racism against black people.
