(Photo courtesy of BOC) MANILA - The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Tuesday reported the seizure of smuggled counterfeit goods with an estimated value of PHP100 million in Valenzuela City. In a statement, the Bureau said the team armed with a letter of authority (LOA) issued by Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, inspected the warehouse located at No. 8 Rincon Road, where they discovered the fake items. During the inspection, Customs examiners discovered used clothing (ukay-ukay) and fake signature goods, including different footwear brands such as Nike, Crocs, and Sandugo among others, which came from China and Bangladesh. The examination was conducted in the presence of personnel from the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) operatives.
