Staff report WARREN A man who in 2017 was given two years in prison on gun charges is named in a superceding indictment charging him with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, tampering with evidence, illegal conveyance of drugs and aggravated possession of drugs with specification for forfeiture. Tre’Vaughn L. Walker, 28, of Stewart Drive NW, Warren, the brother of a man who died in an October 2013 police-involved shooting on Risher Road SW, is scheduled for arraignment on the new indictment by the Trumbull County grand jury next week before Common Pleas Judge W. Wyatt McKay. The court record shows he originally was charged in October with three felonies in a case tied to an Aug. 28, 2020, Warren police traffic stop.

A former lieutenant in the Liberty Fire Department, Cleland also is charged with a first-degree misdemeanor drug possession. If found guilty of all charges, he would face a potential maximum of six-and-a-half-years in prison. Cleland’s significant other, Hayleh A. Omar, 43, of the same Warner Road address, was indicted on a misdemeanor obstructing official business charge that will be handled in Girard Municipal Court.
