NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Remains of a human body, purportedly of a schoolteacher missing for over 12 years, were found here by some labourers working on the expansion of Dosali-Garyum Road.
Official sources said during digging for the road project the labourers had found some bones and few belongings including a national identity card of one Mohammad Salam, who had allegedly gone missing over a decade ago.
The remains were handed over to a son of the deceased named Shaukat Khan, which were buried in Khushali village in Mirali.

Nanbais to increase price of ‘naan’

MANSEHRA: The nanbais in Oghi have decided to increase the price of naan from Rs10 to Rs15. “The price of the wheat flour and Liquefied Petroleum Gas has been increased in the local markets and we have no other option to increase the price of naan and fix it at Rs15,” a representative of the nanbais Hayatullah Khan told a meeting in Oghi here on Saturday. The nanbais from the Oghi and its suburbs attended the meeting.

Incidents of theft, dacoities protested in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The traders and shopkeepers on Saturday staged a protest against the rising incidents of theft and dacoities in Dera, Kulachi and adjoining areas.
The protesting traders and shopkeepers led by their leaders Abdul Manan, Hayatullah Khan, Samiullah and others took to the roads after closing down their businesses in Dera, Kulachi and adjoining areas. The traders also burnt tyres and blocked the road for traffic at Shakhi Gate, creating hardships for the commuters and motorists.
The traders’ leaders said that theft and robberies had become a routine practice in Dera, Kulachi and nearby areas but the police were playing the role of a silent spectator. They said the police have totally failed to provide protection to the general public and traders.
