The forest department and JBVNL in East Singhbhum district are conducting a survey of electricity transmission lines in areas of elephant movement to prevent further jumbo deaths. Ensure the safety of elephants and other wildlife in their habitat areas.
Another elephant died by electrocution at Neemtand forest of Phulchi panchayat under Gandey block of Giridih district. A comprehensive investigation into the circumstances leading to the electrocution would take place.
