SHARE ON: The community hub will be built in the area that is currently a parking lot behind McCaskie TV & Stereo (Photo credit: Mathew Reisler) The North Hastings Community Hub will soon be ready to break ground, with the help of the federal government. The feds announced today that they will be investing $750,000 into the hub’s construction. Federal Infrastructure Minister Catherine McKenna says that residents need better public spaces, especially libraries, where people want to live, work and raise a family. On hand at the Announcement was MPP Daryl Kramp, whose government is adding $625,000 to what both governments call a vital project. He says he knows how important this is for the community, saying that Bancroft needs this as a hub for the area. Mayor Paul Jenkins says this is the next step to make sure that Bancroft becomes a place where people want to work and live.
