Rescue wing are prepared to leave this morning for florida. They will help provide search and rescue support for those affected by Hurricane Irma. Now, many of these men and women have just returned from texas and hurricane harvey. They say despite the short turnaround, theyre ready to help. New advisories overnight have more of south florida under a hurricane warning. The storm is currently passing between the bahamas and cuba on a direct path for miami. Irmas winds have diminished a little, but at 155 Miles Per Hour it is still a category 5 or category 4 hurricane. The red on the map shows areas under a hurricane warning including all of the metro miami and the keys. The hurricane watches stretch all the way up to vero beach. Mandatory evacuation orders cover at least 1. 2 Million People in florida. All Public Schools and colleges are closed today and monday due to the storm. Good morning, amy. Reporter good morning, natasha. Yes, we just got here. We have just learned the woman who was inside this home is 69 years old. Shes at the hospital right now, in critical condition. She is on life support. Firefighters say she was very disoriented. They heard her banging on the wall inside the home asking for help. So they had to go in and rescue her. Her 71yearold husband got out okay. Firefighters say she might have been struggling to get out of the house because there is so much stuff inside. They do consider this a horder situation. They had trouble getting access to the home, getting in there and getting to her. They think that this fire started in the garage, possibly with the barbecue. The homeowner mentioned he had tried to start it earlier in the day and that he did hear an explosion.
