(HCAP) on Friday reported first-quarter net income of $4.5 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier. On a per-share basis, the New York-based company said it had net income of 75 cents. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, were 2 cents per share. The provider of financial services to small and mid-sized companies posted revenue of $2.2 million in the period. Harvest Capital shares have risen 15% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Friday, shares hit $8.72, more than doubling in the last 12 months.
