A MELKSHAM mum with a severely disabled child has welcomed a charity chief’s decision to admit defrauding it of over £100,000, saying she hopes he is sentenced to “a long time” in jail. Scott Wright, 45, of Leda Avenue, Hengrove, Bristol, pleaded guilty at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday to abusing his position as a trustee of the Darren Wright Foundation. The court heard he unlawfully removed funds from the charity that were intended to help disabled children and adults. Charlotte Deegan, 32, from Crescent Road, Melksham, said: “It will be really nice to finally see justice served when Scott Wright is sentenced.
