Lieutenant Harrison Dooley, Sergeant Jeff Brown and Officer Michael Richardson were decommissioned while the investigation into their actions during the warrant execution was ongoing. Internal investigators this week recommended Dooley and Brown be demoted to officer status and Richardson be dismissed. Officers used a battering ram to knock in the door at the Edgehill home of a mother and her two young children at 6:05 a.m. on Aug. 18. The subject of the search warrant was a 16-year-old who did not live at the home and hadn t for at least four months. Metro Nashville Police Chief John Drake ordered an investigation into the event, calling the actions of the officers unacceptable and said shortcuts were taken when determining if the juvenile suspect lived at the home. (WTVF) â Disciplinary hearings will be held for three members of the Metro Nashville Police who were decommissioned following the raid of an innocent woman s home. In August of 2020, officers raided the wrong home. Chief John Drake said they were executing an evidentiary search warrant connected to vehicle burglaries. Recently, the department offered the following recommended sanctions: Officer Richardson: dismissal Lt.
