Brenda Josephine Hoskins, 80, McLeansboro

Brenda Josephine Hoskins, age 80 and resident of McLeansboro, IL, passed away at 4:30 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023 at McLeansboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, McLeansboro. She was the first born of three children (Brenda, Judy (Webb) and Gale Beachum) to Deborah Angeline and Paul Dewain Beachum on October 26, 1942. She was a descendant of the Original Tucker clan from Dale, IL. Brenda loved being the matriarch of the family. She married Maxie K. Reed and they had two children, Jeffrey K. Reed (Debbie) and Audrey Pauline Skropka. Jeff and Audrey blessed her and Maxie with four grandchildren; Stacy Lynn, Lindsey Brook, Angela Rosalie, and Jeffrey Brent along with five Great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She married a second time, her last, to Marvin Howard Hoskins, who preceded her in death. They shared two kids, Craig and Angie, along with five grandchildren. James Duncan Tyler – McLeansboro

James Duncan Tyler, 91, of McLeansboro, went to be with the Lord at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. He was born February 13, 1930 in McLeansboro, the only son of James Monroe and Lurlin Gertrude (Duncan) Tyler. J.D. was a friend to all and never met a stranger. With a very kind heart he was full of life, enjoyed making people laugh, and always had a smile. J.D. was a proud Korean War Veteran serving in the United States Air Force. J.D. married Vada Faye Mitchell in 1959 and was blessed by one daughter. He married his second wife, Ruth Cullins Mitchell, in 1981 and was blessed by four stepchildren. J.D. was preceded in death by both wives. J.D. was a member of First Baptist Church in McLeansboro which his father helped build. His career started as an X-Ray Technician at Hamilton Memorial Hospital as well as Assistant Administrator and Purchasing Agent.
