HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech volleyball coach Matt Jennings presented team awards last weekend with four Huskies being honored. Anna Jonynas was named the Most Valuable Player, Megan Utlak received the Digger and Scholastic Achievement Awards, Janie Grindland was honored with the Most Improved Player Award, and Carissa Beyer received the Harold Meese Sportsmanship Award. Anna Jonynas was on the All-GLIAC First Team, was named to the GLIAC All-Tournament Team, AVCA National Player of the Week on April 8, and GLIAC North Division Player of the Week on April 5. The senior outside hitter led the GLIAC in points per set (4.5) and kills per set (4.14), ranked seventh in hitting percentage (.277), 12th in service aces (16), and 17th in digs per set (3.88). by Human Resources Human Resources received some questions in response to our summer hours note in Tech Today on April 12. The start date for summer hours is May 3, rather than May 10. We apologize for the error. Additionally, the April 12 notice stated that “all offices must be staffed” during summer hours. Offices must be staffed in that they must be able to conduct business, whether in person or remotely. The note should not be construed as a return-to-campus order. Reid Goble, Henriette Semb, and Anabel Needham were named the Most Outstanding Skiers. Reid Goble was named the men’s Most Outstanding Skier for the second year in a row. He was an All-CCSA First Team member, All-Region a skier, and had his best NCAA Championship of his career with a pair of 22nd place finishes while leading the Huskies to an Elite 8 finish at the NCAA Championship. Goble had a pair of CCSA podium finishes and skied at NCAAs for the third time in his career. ....
