A Missouri man has been arrested and charged with stealing a nearly $200,000 truck in JanÂuary he was scheduled to deliver from ElizaÂbethÂtown. Derrell Duret, 32, of Florissant, Missouri, was booked Thursday into the Hardin County Detention Center and is being held in lieu of a partially secured $200,000 bond. According to an arrest warrant, Duret was an employee of Quality Drive Away. He was supposed to drive a 2020 Altec Ford F550 truck from ElizaÂbethtown to Oregon on Jan. 4. Duret picked up the vehicle, but did not transport it to Oregon and was paid for the delivery, the warrant says. Duret was contacted several times about the truck, valued at $181,417.62, and he âwould not reveal the exact location of the vehicle,â according to the warrant. ....
For the second time in about five weeks, the former mayor of Hodgenville has been arrested and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants. Terry Cruse, 63, was arrested by Elizabethtown police Wednesday afternoon and told officers he had been drinking alcohol, according to an arrest report. He took a Breathalyzer test and his alcohol level was .139, according to the Elizabethtown Police Department. The state legal limit is .08. Officers responded Wednesday around 4:30 p.m. to East Dixie Avenue and New Glendale Road for a single-vehicle crash. Police made contact with Cruse, the driver of the vehicle involved and according to an arrest report, Cruse was âvisibly impaired.â ....
An undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation by the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch has led to the arrest of a Radcliff man on multiple charges related to child sexual abuse material. Dennis Monroe Wadzeck, 21, was arrested in Louisville after the KSP Electronic Crime Branch began an investigation after reportedly discovering the suspect sharing images of child sexual exploitation online. The investigation resulted in serving an arrest warrant March 27. He initially was held in Jefferson County, according to KSP. Wadzeck is scheduled to appear Friday in Hardin District Court. He is being held on a $10,000 cash bond. Equipment reportedly used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSPâs forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing. ....
