Cllr Haqeeq Dar SLOUGH Labour has confirmed the former deputy mayor no longer sits as a Labour member while he is under investigation. Last week, the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) understood Wexham Lea councillor Haqeeq Dar was suspended by central Labour pending investigation into complaints. It was not made clear when and the reasons why he was suspended. Slough Labour has revealed to the LDRS that Cllr Dar has been administratively suspended from the Labour Party on April 30 and no longer sits as a Labour councillor pending the outcome of the investigation. A Labour Group spokesperson said: “The Labour Group has received notice that Cllr Dar has been administratively suspended from the Labour Party on April 30th and is therefore no longer sitting as a Labour councillor pending the outcome of the investigation by the Labour Party. ....
