Tigers Outlast Cavaliers, 79-69

Clemson, S.C. – Clemson women’s basketball improved to 15-14 on the year and 6-11 in the ACC after defeating the Virginia Cavaliers (15-13, 4-13) 79-69 in their return to Littlejohn Coliseum.  Four Tigers hit double digits, with Amari Robinson leading all scorers with 18, followed by Daisha Bradford, Brie Perpignan, and Eno Inyang with 14 each. Hannah Hank pulled down a team-high nine rebounds and Clemson shot 78% from the free throw line. The Tigers and Cavaliers went back and forth in the first quarter; a pair of layups by Robinson and Kionna Gaines gave the Tigers the lead they would not relinquish. CLEMSON, S.C. - Clemson women’s basketball held Georgia Tech scoreless in the final 8:16 of play on Thursday night to help secure a 57-41 victory against the Yellow Jackets in Littlejohn Coliseum. The victory snapped a four-game losing streak, including two overtime losses, to move Clemson to 14-12 overall and 5-9 in ACC play. Nine different Tigers scored with senior Amari Robinson finishing with a team-high 15 points going 6-for-10 from the floor. This was Robinson’s 13 double-digit point performance this season. Clemson, S.C. – The Clemson Women’s Basketball Team (13-11, 4-8 ACC) fell to the Miami Hurricanes (14-8, 7-4 ACC) in overtime in Littlejohn Coliseum on Thursday night during Military Appreciation Night. Amari Robinson turned in her second double-double of the season with 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Tigers. Brie Perpignan joined Robinson in double-figure scoring with 11 and added five assists, while Daisha Bradford added nine. Hannah Hank added seven points and six rebounds. Behind an 8-0 run, the Tigers took a 17-14 lead after the first quarter. The Hurricanes swiftly responded in the second quarter, but it was not enough to stop the Tiger’s offense.
