This is a fox news alert. on the record just obtaining the transcripts of the cockpit conversations from flight 370 from its taxi on the runway to the final message at 1:19 a.m. all right. good night. we are now getting a look at the final 54 minutes of conversations between the cockpit of flight 370 and air traffic control. the u.k. tele graph reporting on the full communications record. does it tell us anything? joining us our panel of experts. matt robinson. former 777 pilot hank whitmore, agent and investigator christopher vaughn and, chris moore. hank, let me go to you because these are the conversations you would have. looking at this transcript, anything peculiar? it looks very routine to me. i just had a chance to look at it a little bit ago. and it looks like a very normal flight up until the point where communication from the aircraft stopped. matt, how about you? you have investigated these crashes and i m sure that you have pored over these transcripts before. ....
i concur. there is nothing out of the ordinary or suspicious with these. matt, if there were a fire on board, and the pilots were aware of it, would we expect to see some language about it some place some time in this, if they knew about it? if they knew about it, sure. but pilots abide by the a rule of thumb. aviate, navigate, communicate. they need to fly the airplane, then they need to communicate with ground and controllers, and then aviate, navigate and communicate with ground controllers at the very last. they need to fly the airplane. so, i wouldn t suspect them, if there is anything real immediate in nature to relay to the ground until they had actually established control of the airplane and fought the fire. it s not out of the ordinary. hank, it seems to me though, it s like if there are two pilots up there, i would think that in a case of an emergency that there would be a protocol like pilot flies, and co-pilot communicates or something. is there not some sort of ....
Disclosing it, does that now pique your interest as a possibility of what went on here. not as much at this point in time. i have trouble getting around the conversation of the pilots. sothat this sequence this started sometime before that calm communication. meaning at probably 1:07. this conversation was at 1:19. all right. good night. but at 1:o07 the acar system was turned off. the communication system. right, right, right. is that what catches your attention? yeah. absolutely. if there was some sort of mechanical problem, some sort of a fire, there is enough time there for these guys to be aware of it and, in my view, and, you know, i think the calmness of the pilot just really the co-pilot just really jumps out at me. hank, if all of a sudden there is smoke and you are not even intend to have a conversation with air traffic control litany. if i turned to by my co-pilot oh my god there is smoke in here even if i ....
beijing. a life span of that black box battery is running out. we have the latest on the search of the southern indian ocean. but, first, those final 54 minutes of conversations in the cockpit with air traffic controllers. nate roll us. nate, what you can tell me about the 54 minutes? anything weird? thanks for having me, greta. as the tell graph reported, authors have been combing through the 54 minutes where the pilots were communicating with the air traffic controllers and so far nothing out of the ordinary has been found. the last communication was from the co-pilot, the 27-year-old co-pilot at about 1:07 a.m. which was 54 minutes into the flight. he told air traffic controllers that they were cruising at 35,000 feet. the only thing that s even remotely suspicious about that call is that he had announced that about six minutes before. so that is not a required call to aghowns it twice. aviation experts say that we shouldn t read too much into that. that happens al ....
