Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) Troop A is investigating a shooting involving a Kansas City Police (KCPD) officer. Shortly after 6 p.m. on the evening of May 1, KCPD officers located a homicide suspect near East Missouri Avenue at Maple Boulevard in Northeast Kansas City. According to MSHP, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, but the suspect presented a short barreled rifle. An officer fired his service weapon, striking the suspect. Officers immediately performed life saving measures, a spokesperson for MSHP said. The suspect was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Hanad Abdiaziz of Kansas City, Mo. He was wanted for the homicide of the teenage brothers killed on Friday night at 8th & Olive. ....
