But once the line was shut off todays weather helped the accumulates into buildings and stuff like that, so were worried about explosion hazards. Scattered power outages, and tree limbs down reported across New Hampshire. Right now eversource is reporting about 1100 outages. Jennifer that win is also blowing in some colder air. Mike it is chilly and the winds still active out there and i think theyll continue through midnight, shortly after before diminishing. Top gusts close to 100 Miles Per Hour atop mount washington, and close to 50 in manchester. Any time you get those winds scattered outages and we did see that across the state from lay morning to the present hour. Right now sustained win anywhere from 7 to 23 Miles Per Hour, but the gusts are still up over 30. So still quite active, could see a few scattered outages continuing before the winds shut down, but theres a lot of chilly air ....
Superintendent has confirmed a student died of a drug overdose. The student was a junior at timberlane regional high school. The district was made aware of the death around midnight. Counselors are being made available to students. The school is sharing resources with parents about how to talk to kids about drugs. Tom firefighters are wrapping up a threeday battle against the brush fire in acworth. The job ma Kristen Carosa has the details tonight. Reporter we are at the acworth fire department, about four miles from where the fire broke out. Crews used 16,000 gallons of water over three days. Thankfully, this is all over. 60 firefighters battled a brush fire off of globe road reporter Charles Schroeder owns the property where the fire broke out. You could see it after dark. Who were shot in the line of duty in may returned to work two weeks ago. Officers ryan hardy and matt oconner were shot during the pursuit of a suspect on second and ferry streets. The incident closed several schools and prompted shelter in place orders for several streets. Hardy was shot in the face and shoulder and oconner was shot in the leg. They both work the midnight shift and requested no fanfare. Recovery, and its meant a lot to me and the department. So i was hoping to offer the community some visuals of these brave men back to work, but being the humble officers they are, they just wanted to come in quietly, and thats what theyve done.
