We had some spirited voting this week, and in the end we want to congratulate Ellsworth High School's Jayden Sullivan who was voted as the Week 1 Spring High School Athlete of the week, for her performance April 15-20.
The Hampden Academy Broncos scored 3 runs in the 6th and in the 7th inning to beat the Bangor Rams 13-11 on Thursday, April 25th at Mansfield Stadium in Bangor.

Mike Bordick had a 14 year major league baseball career from 1990 to 2003 playing in 1720 games. Prior to that he played for the UMaine Black Bears and before that he went to Hampden Academy. He will be speaking at a Hot Stove presentation Sunday, August 28th at the Hampden Academy Performing Arts Center.
