4-H Humane Society Service Project Donations Drop-Off Day Is Friday Thursday, April 1, 2021 Hamilton County 4-H will hold a donations drop-off day to benefit the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga on Friday from noon to 8 p.m. in the parking lot of the Hamilton County Extension Office. The public is invited to drop off items to benefit the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga during this event. According to Ashleigh Horner, volunteer services manager for the Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga, items particularly needed at present include canned chicken, canned tuna and canned salmon, as well as chicken and turkey baby food for foster puppies and kittens (make sure it doesn’t contain garlic), and towels and smaller fleece blankets. She also said that by going to the Humane Society website, you can find the Humane Society’s Amazon wish list and order items from home that the Humane Society needs. ....
4-H Art Poster Contest Open Through Feb. 22 Monday, February 8, 2021 Susanna Smith with her 4-H art poster, an Eastern Region State Winner in the 2020 4-H Art Poster Contest In 2020, Hamilton County 4-H Club member Susanna Smith created a poster for the annual 4-H Art Poster contest. Each year, thousands of students across the state of Tennessee compete in this contest. The best posters in each county make their way to the regional contest, and the winners at the regional level go on to the state 4-H Art Poster contest. The ten best entries in the state are posted online at the state 4-H website. ....
