All Pennsylvania voters yes, that includes independents and minor-party members will be asked to consider four ballot questions on May 18. Two of them are about as non-controversial as possible. What would it do? This is a statewide referendum (as opposed to a constitutional amendment) that would allow municipal fire departments or companies with paid personnel, as well as EMS companies, to apply for a loan through an existing state-run program for volunteer companies. Pa. tells providers to stop Johnson & Johnson shots while FDA reviews rare blood clotting cases

All Pennsylvania COVID-19 vaccine providers should pause giving doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for at least a week, on the heels of a Tuesday recommendation from federal health officials, the state Health Department said
The department is taking the precautionary step as the Federal Drug Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention review the cases of six women between the ages of 18 and 48, who had potentially serious blood clots 6 to 13 days after vaccination. This is a rare event as 6.8 million Americans have already received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. ....

All Pennsylvania residents – over the age of 16 – will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine effective tomorrow (April 13), according to a report from NBC10. 
That’s a week ahead of schedule when it was originally planned to be made available in Pennsylvania and the country next Monday (April 19).
The news is expected to be confirmed by Governor Wolf later today. ....
