PETALING JAYA: Many Malaysians were in favour of a move to extend the quarantine period to 21 days for those returning from India. Following the government s announcement that it was considering whether to extend the period from the normal 14 days to 21 days, many said authorities should not hesitate to do so as the measure could stunt the growing number of local cases. Some even suggested that the move should also be extended to returnees from every country. “Please quarantine for 21 days. Do it before we face more serious conditions, ” said Deded Adam Deeja who commented on the announcement on The Star’s Facebook page.
