and good morning, thanks so much for being with us today. it is thursday. it s february 3rd. i m kiran chetry. hello to you all. i m t.j. hopes. things changed in egypt yesterday. and it was a night of bloodshed and violence and a fiery uprising in egypt in tahrir square. let me tell you the new developments that we re getting this morning. we re seeing the military step in and do something that many hoped they would step in and do yesterday. that is, separate the pro and anti-military demonstrators. so the military is getting in and stepping in. throughout the night, there was gun fire, all night long, after a day of violence. reports are more than 800 people have been injured in the fighting in the clashes yesterday. egyptian television saying that five people were killed. you can see in the video we re showing you now, the fire in tahrir square. protesters throwing homemade gas bombs on each other. with the museum, a lot of people are nerved at the antiquities in t ....

Cars and people were slowing in the opposite direction of the square and then i ran as fast as i could out of there back it our position here, our live position outside of tahrir square, kyra. wow. put in perspective. i was reading a couple thousands promubarak protesters moving in, possibly about 10,000 anti-mubarak. is there a large gap between the numbers there, hala and these pro mubarak protesters was it just a moment of where they rushed in and created the violence and then it sort of calmed down? or does it look like the number of pro mubarak protesters is getting bigger now? i cannot give you an accurate count because i was, the whole time, on the pro mubarak side. i was not able to get to the other side of the square where the anti-government protesters are gathered. ....

rocks thrown. now a nation s crisis deepens. that is where we are going to begin. day nine of the uprising turns vicious and bloody. this nation on edge, teetering on chaos and the whole world is watching as a peaceful transition turns barbaric. we want to check in with a number of our correspondents there on the scene. hollow grany is in tahrir square. we know you got caught in the middle of the violence. describe what you went through, what happens and what is it like right now? i was walking towards tahrir square. my intent was to get in the middle of it and try to figure out what the level of tension was between these pro and anti-mubarak groups in tahrir square. in the beginning, it was okay and sort of a relatively peaceful atmosphere to the whole thing. then i got closer to where the rock throwers from the pro mubarak side were stationed. the military just looking on and not intervening. then a surreal scene, out of nowhere, it seems, demonstrators on camel-bac ....
