WOOSTER Social distancing and Zoom meetings hopefully will be a distant memory by the end of 2021, but a partnership with the local Home Builders Association should make it easier to accomplish both for the Wayne County Children s Advocacy Center.
Members of the Home Builders Association of Wayne & Holmes Counties voted to adopt the nonprofit agency that serves child victims of physical and sexual abuse in Wayne, Holmes and Ashland counties for its 2021 project of the year. They will help to convert the center s attached garage into additional office space.
Volunteers helped to clean out the garage at the advocacy center earlier this month in anticipation of the project. Currently, the staff shares a common space in the living room portion of the house, located on Gasche Street, and the small structure makes it difficult to implement social distancing when children are being seen on clinic days. ....
