Union minister Jaishankar reviewed the progress of the project along with the Japanese Ambassador of Japan. The External Affairs Minister and Ambassador of Japan to India arrived in Guwahati on Sunday evening for reviewing Indo-Japanese projects being implemented in Assam. They were received at the Lokopriyo Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport by Assam State Industries and Commerce Minister Chandra Mohan Pa ....

Jaishankar also reviewed the progress of the project that is being funded by Japan along with Japanese Ambassador to India Satoshi Suzuki. Speaking at an event here, he said: Our presence today not only reflects the strong cooperation we have with Japan, but actually underlines how this India-Japan partnership can really make a difference. ....
(MENAFN - IANS) p>Guwahati, Feb 15 (IANS) External Affairs Minister S.Jaishankar on Monday said that the government has been trying to develop infrastructure and connectivity, besides enabling the environment in Assam to attract more foreign investment, particularly the Japanese investors. Accompanied by the Japan Ambassador to India, Satoshi Suzuki, Jaishankar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is very serious to develop the northeastern region and Assam with more investments. Japanese companies are familier to Assam. India-Japan partnership can really make a difference. Assam is the springboard of India s Act East Policy, he told the media. Referring to the JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) aided projects, the Minister said that several projects worth Rs 9,000 crore to Rs 10,000 crore are almost committed or implemented or under discussions. ....
