to be made? people in north carolina tonight and for many days are demanding to know what happened when a deputy killed a black man this week at his home. the man reportedly was shot in the back. the sheriff says he is working to get the body camera footage released. people in his county want to see it now. with me tonight a democratic congressman madelene dean of pennsylvania, she is the deputy whip on the gun violence prevention task force. thank you for coming on to talk about this. there is so much to discuss. i want to talk about the larger picture of guns in just a moment. but first i m sure you have been following these deadly police shootings around the country, in some cases police bodycam video comes out quickly. but as we see in places like north carolina there is a law blocking the public from seeing it without a court order. should the public see what happens sooner than later no matter what we have there is a question about the police response? always, every s
official joel greenberg could significantly strengthen the justice department s hand as it investigates mr. gaetz and others that met him through florida republican poll techs and scrutinized on sex trafficking violations. the defense attorney for greenberg all but confirming serious consequences for gaetz with the cryptic remarks made outside a florida courthouse. did your client introduce matt gaetz to any underaged girls for sexual relations? right. so i m just going to let you sit there and look over your head and ignore that question. i m sure matt gaetz is not feeling very comfortable today. not very comfortable. the close ties between gaetz and greenberg detailed at length in the politico piece titled the congressman and his wingman and reports this, quote, the relationship wasn t one of equals according to mutual friends saying the tax collector looks upped to the congressman. greenberg introduced him to young women. who he met on seeking arrangement, a dating w
hours. let s begin our coverage with our jeremy diamond. he joins us at the white house. good morning, jeremy. do you have a sense of i mean, they can t control what the reporters ask, but do you have a sense of what the administration wants to convey in this press conference? well, and that s the critical decision there, poppy. what the administration wants to convey here, what the president wants to focus on during this news conference, and then there are the topics that the president is going to face questions on during this first news conference of his presidency. look, president biden is going to come out today and wants to talk about what he s accomplished in his first 64 days in office. getting vaccinations to a pace of about 2 1/2 million vaccines per day. crossing that 100 million vaccines goal within 60 days in office, rather than the 100 days that he had first laid out. the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill, which he signed into law in recent weeks and the
