Very few are able to get governmental or institutional accommodation and other facilities; most of them are left to the mercy of private hostels. No wonder, private hostels have become a lucrative industry. The sad part is that the hostel owners, in a quest to maximise profits, compromise on the basic services at their facilities. LOWER DIR: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl provincial general secretary Maulana Attaul Haq Darvaish on Wednesday insisted that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) wanted to establish real democracy in the country. He was addressing a party function at Amlook Dara in Talash where Jamaat-i-Islami activist and former councillor Khalil Khan announced to join the JUI-F. The function was also addressed by former senator Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan, JUI-F district emir Ameer Sirajuddin, Maulana Noor Badshah and others.
