19时37分，广安市消防救援支队指挥中心接到群众报警后，立即调派华蓥市消防救援大队3辆消防车21名指战员赶赴现场，并同步调派乡镇微型消防站人员赶赴现场进行先期处置。救援人员到达现场后发现，该建筑共6楼，起火楼层位于3楼，阳台区域有大量明火。据当地政府工作人员和派出所民警介绍，被困人员大概在4-5楼。根据现场情况，现场指挥员立即制定作战计划，一组消防员沿楼梯铺设水带到达三楼从起火房屋进行正面灭火，一组消防员在楼下出水扑灭窗台火势，防止明火向楼上蔓延，其余消防队员组织三个搜救小组进入楼内逐层搜救被困人员。约五分钟后，救援人员成功将被困老人救出并送至安全地带交由亲属照料。
确定楼内无人员被困后，现场消防人员全力投入灭火战斗，经过近一个小时的紧张扑
