The figure-eight course is also near Maranello, home of the Prancing Horse, so, it made perfect sense for Ferrari to hold its virtual unveiling there last Thursday. The revelation of the 812 Competizione (Italian for âcompetitionâ) and its targa version, the Competizione A, was also a chance for the brand to show off its new GT Sporting Activities Department, which is open to clients who want to enjoy the singular pleasure of tracking their Ferraris. ....

Ferrari s new dynamic duo: Italian supercar brand launches two new 812 Competizione models with 211mph top speeds and half a million price tags
The 812 Competizione will be sold in both hard-top coupe and a surprise Targa version in limited numbers
Just 999 coupes and 599 convertibles will be produced, with prices of £500,000 and £578,000 respectively
Both will be powered by 830 horsepower 6.5-litre V12 engines linked to a seven-speed F1 automatic gearbox
The cars will accelerate from 0-62mph in just 2.85 seconds and have a claimed top speed in excess of 211mph ....
