If you’ve never seen it before, you might want to skip to the third paragraph]  In Graham Greene’s classic The Third Man the antagonist Harry Lime makes a killing literally in post-WW2 Vienna by stealing penicillin from military hospitals, diluting it, and selling it on the black market, resulting in the preventable deaths of countless people. That doesn’t seem to trouble Lime’s conscience. During the famous Ferris Wheel scene Lime (played by Orson Welles) is asked by his friend Holly Martins (played by Joseph Cotton) whether he has ever seen any of his victims, to which Limes responds:
