Beautiful pictures across the area with light snow continuing to come down. Storm team 4 radar tracking the flakes as they go right through the heart of the capital beltway, right over the capital city. Moderate snow at times. Not an awful lot sticking on the roads. Quite a few locations with half an inch to an inch on the grassiest surfaces and exposed locations. Still watching the the snow pile up a touch. Heavier snow moving into parts of charles county. Theres the back end of the snow now. Its already stopped in hagerstown. Martins burg. This back end will continue to slide on through here for the remainder ....

Its a long way away from us, still a good four hours away before we see any of that coming closer to washington. So for today, here are the big weather stories. That snow moving in today, heres the timing on its arrival. It looks like by 8 00 this morning, maybe a little bit of the light snow north and west of us and initially just a dusting, and then it does move through between 9 00 in the morning through noon to 1 00 in the afternoon leaving just some dusting to oneinch amounts and quickly dissipates in the afternoon getting the sun back by midafternoon. Then the possibility of some snow on wednesday. Light snow in the morning for the morning rush hour. Today it will be after the rush hour. Tomorrows for the morning rush hour that may cause delays.
