The community is mourning the loss of one tonight. A competitor died during the iron man race in boulder this morning. 34 yearold Michelle Walters was here competing from nebraska. When she collided wd a car near the cycling part of the event. She died at the hospital. Were live out here in boulder. Along the course. You can see some of the competitors are still out here. Finishing. They have been working so hard this end goal of the finish line. Sadly theres one racer who was here today. Who wont get to finish. The community is a close nit group. Always cheering each other on. On race day. My husband always says he wants us to spread out. You need encouragement along way. A 2. 4 mile swim. 112 mile bike ride. And finish with a 26 mile run. The iron man race is one toughest out there. People train for years to do it. I always get emotional when i watch the races. All they want to do is finish the race. They all come here hoping ....
