CASPER, Wyo. An “extended heavy snow event” is expected to impact western Wyoming starting Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.
Up to two feet of snow is expected in the Teton and Gros Ventre Mountain Ranges. Areas of Yellowstone as well as the Wind River, Salt River and Wyoming Ranges are expected to see up to 16 inches.
Jackson Hole and Star Valley could see as much as a foot of snow.
