There were also 13 deaths reported in the past 24 hours. Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said there were 3,805 recoveries, bringing the total number of those discharged to 161,527. In a statement, Noor Hisham said the total number of infections now stands at 209,661. ADVERTISEMENT There are 47,388 active cases, with 319 patients being treated in intensive care and 120 requiring respiratory assistance. Meanwhile, the 13 deaths take the number of fatalities to 746. The new cases today involved 5,723 local infections and five imported cases. ....

The number of precious intensive care beds used by Covid-19 patients reached a record high of 314 today with 122 people requiring ventilators to breathe.
